Process & Fees

  • Psychiatry & Psychotherapy:

I see patients via tele-health and in some circumstances, in person. Below are general guidelines regarding what one can expect varying by depth and scope.

After an initial 20 minute consultation, the process begins with a 50 minute assessment. Follow-up appointments are typically 50 minutes to address a blend of psychological, lifestyle, and medication topics. Appointments where medication dose adjustments are happening in closer sequence such as when starting a new medication are usually 25 minutes.

While there are many ways to work together, including targeted, more time limited interventions, most people come to me for and get the most out of comprehensive ongoing therapy. Ultimately, people tend find that there are significant psychological contributors to their experience of distress, not just “biological factors” such as nutritional deficiency. In light of this, the process tends to be most effective when meeting weekly for therapy, though some people meet biweekly.

Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy begins with a 50-minute assessment followed by typically at least 3-4 preparation sessions, a dosing session, and then 1-2 more integration sessions. For those receiving low dose psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy in a more “psycholytic” frame, there is a slightly shorter preparation process and future sessions can occur in a manner and structure more similar to traditional psychotherapy.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy often yields rapid and potentially profound results within 1-3 sessions that usually last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours and typically requires only 1-2 50 minute preparation appointments.

    Executive Coaching:

Frequency varies based on individual and company goals, but sessions are typically at least weekly. Common organizational topics include leadership development, team dynamics, hiring decisions, vision setting, and pattern recognition.

Individuals often find significant benefit in working through the unique pressures of leadership, including burnout, inner criticism, and self-doubt.

The most profound changes happen when leaders develop a deeper sense of authentic, connected leadership. This personal evolution and self-understanding yields greater meaning, resilience, and performance in both professional and personal contexts, illuminating the underlying themes coursing through both.

Individual sessions often involve a blend of working through pressing issues as well as underlying areas for growth.

  • Billing

I do not accept insurance and am out of network with all insurance providers. However, I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurer, some of whom may cover part of the cost. A credit card authorization prior to the first appointment is required. A credit card will be kept on file and billed on the day of each appointment or service rendered between appointments. ACH, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard are accepted.

Appointments missed with less than 24 hours notice will be billed the full rate of the scheduled session.
